The founding Pastor of The Grace Community Church is Rev Francis Adedeji. He received instruction from God in April 1997 concerning starting a church in Lagos when he graduated from the University of Ibadan.
The work started in 1999 initially as The Grace Community Outreach with evangelism and outreach before Sunday services started, thus The Grace Community Church was birthed.
Our first service started on the 6th of February 1999 at 1, olufeko close, Fola agoro, Lagos. We held Church training programme (CTP) on Sunday mornings to prepare our people for the Church work ahead. We started our first Sunday service on the 1st of October 2000 at 2, Carter street, Ebute metta, Lagos.
We had the Church’s formal inauguration on the 31st of March 2001 at the worship center of This Present House, in Victoria Island, Lagos. We moved from our location at Ebute metta to 12, Salako Crescent, off Moyo Agoro, Ogba, Lagos in August 2004 and in March 2019 we moved to GWX Building, 45 Opebi road, Opposite Adebola House, Ikeja, Lagos.
The mission of The Grace Community Church is captured from Ephesians 4:7-16. We are a people who are recipients of God’s grace and we are committed to building up believers to reach the world.
Over the years lives have been touched and transformed. Lives are still being touched and transformed by the Word of God. Our greatest testimony is that the truth of God’s Word has been preached, is still being preached, and will be preached, declared with power and consistency in our local Assembly, as we await the Lord’s return. God is the name of our game, we play by His rules, we follow His plans, and we leave the results to Him.
The vision for our Children’s Church is to raise children who will embrace God & His ways at an early age and will shine brightly for the Lord in this dark world and will glorify God with their talents and gifts at the same time providing a platform of ministry for members of the church who have such God given mandate.
