We have had many teachers of faith in life, but few has taught about the author of faith.
Author could mean so many things like; the basic for something, the source of something or the
Beginning (door) of something. So the question should be who is the Author of faith?
Faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen ROM 11:1.This
scripture makes us to understand that we already have faith because we have the Author
already: the word of God(written as an account for me and you) is our substance and evidences
of things not seen. SO that brings me to the question, do you really know the Author of
faith?. Faith in this concept is not about faith – as in Christianity but about faith – as
Christ-like living (living as sons of God).
Many of us are missing these two words together; Christianity and Christ-like living
through our earthly living. We put our faith in our Pastors words and we see a lot of us
running to church just in expectation that maybe my case would be mentioned by the Pastor today
and my problem would be solved. Some people even move a step further to commit their life to
evil spiritualities by going to see a Prophet to help them check whatever. All of these is
fallacy because whatever good you get out of it, is just termed good by you and people around
you, but in reality it is deceit, they do not last. All good and perfect gift come from above, from
the Father that gives mercifully to His children.
Bible says; looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith, the beginning and the end of your faith. If faith is a house with doors and windows. The door is Jesus , the windows
are the pastors, prophet, born-again Christians e.t.c. Some of us makes these windows as the
Author of our faith because they are more real and helpful to us than the door that we cant
see but just have to exercise our faith in Him. Thou these windows gives us access to the
owner of the house just like the door, so we think since we have access equally as those that
came in through the door, the truth is you are a thief in the house, that is why your days are
numbers, and your presume blessings also wont last.
God want us to know that the only door to Him is Jesus, He is the way of life, He is the
author of faith. So do not door of your faith with the windows of your faith Thou, both the
door and the windows have its usefulness,we should not forget their individual purposes,we
should always remembered these scriptures; You shall have no other God except me
No servant can serve two masters , for either he will hate one and love the other, or else
he will be loyal to the one and despise the other.you can not serve God and mammon ( man,
money,e.t.c.) luke 16:13
The Author of my faith is Jesus.Really need to know Him,start with these few steps :
1.Read your bible and pray as many times a day,this is very important because
it connect you back to the source of life; God.
2.The first step will take you to the second step which is true repentance.
3.The second step will lead you to the third and final step, the inhabitation
of the holy spirit.
God is your help. Look unto the Author of your faith.
